NCSA Spring Screening Flyer

OK. I don’t know who designed this, or how it was chosen, or anything. The screenings are already underway, and I didn’t see this until I was in a coffee shop tonight and it was out with the other community advertising flair.

Maybe I should just let you judge for yourself. Click for a larger version, though God knows why you`d want one:

Oh my Jeebus Lord. Does this want to make you go see some student films? Or does it make you think you’re gonna go see, ohhhh, Takashi Miike and the Tentacle Rapes?

There’s so much about this I don’t understand. Is the film attacking her? Or is it her own tongue? And if so, why? Why are her eyeballs on fire? Why is it running between her ears like a bad MAD magazine gag? And, um, why is she naked?

Who in our administration looked at this and was like, “Yeah, oh, no, this is totally what we need to get the community all up in our school to see our movies. Ms. Naked Exploding Film Seizure is NCSA.”

There’s more to say, but I probably shouldn’t say it.
